NHPC to set up three power plant for Orissa state

NHPC signed an agreement to set up three power plants in a joint venture with Orissa for an investment of Rs 2,600 crore. The company will have a 51% stake in the joint venture with Orissa-run Hydro Power Corp Ltd.


The total capacity is 320 MW and the project will be built in about five years with an annual energy generation of 1,090 million units.


Currently, NHPC is trading at Rs 25.05 unchanged from its previous close. The stock hit a high of Rs 25.30 and a low of Rs 25 so far during the day. The volume of the Stock stood at 589,881 shares on NSE at 10:11 hrs IST.
